If it were my daughter, they'd be pulling my foot off of these boys' asses and those of their parents. Blame your 8 year old daughter? What a set of peaches these two must be.

PHOENIX — Four boys ages 9 to 14 are in custody after Phoenix police say they lured an 8-year-old girl to an empty storage shed, held her down and sexually assaulted her.
Sgt. Andy Hill said Wednesday the boys face kidnapping and sexual assault charges.
“This is probably one of the worst crimes we’ve come across for many, many years in the city of Phoenix,” Hill said.
Police allege the boys — ages 9, 10, 13 and 14 — lured the girl to the shed July 16 under the pretense of offering her chewing gum. They then restrained and sexually assaulted her, police said.
Officers responding to an emergency call found the girl partially clothed and the suspects running from the scene.
Police say the girl and all but one of the boys live in the same Phoenix apartment complex.
The boys are being held in a juvenile corrections, but the 14-year-old, Steven Tuopeh, will be charged as an adult. Investigators said he appears to have been the ring leader.
It was unknown Wednesday whether Tuopeh had an attorney.
Authorities said the boys were interviewed by investigators with consent from family and admitted involvement in the crime.
Child Protective Services has taken custody of the girl after police said her parents blamed her for the assault.

That is truly, truly awful. What a world we live in! Actually, I wanted to conact you about something else: I read your last year's post on Tucson track & field. We would like to move to Tucson after I complete social work school next year. I'd like to know more about age groups allowed & etc. Can you leave info on one of my blogs? Thx. If not, I'll check back here.
Tucson's an interesting place, just pick out the place you live very carefully. "Hit or miss" is a realtor's term and it doesn't even begin to cover the variety of crazy neighbors you might end up with here. A perfectly normal looking neighborhood can light up with meth freaks at night or mariachi music or loud bass that'll rattle your skull. Learn from my mistakes.
Track and Field will take them as long as they can move on their own, but it's best if they're around two to start. If the kids can't get around reasonably well on their own or take simple direction, it seems to make headaches for the folks that run the event.
I am curious to find out whether this is another case of twisted Islamic logic (the 8 year old girl is blamed for her own rape and accused of ruining the 'honor' of the family, which is not uncommon in the Islamic world). I hope that they keep that girl in protective custody and NEVER give her back to the parents.
I wondered about that too. I'm certain that there's enough twisted paternalism among the other two of the "big three" as well. One girl's honor might as well be another's original sin....
The sad thing about this case is that some of the comments coming from various spokespeople from various groups. They are saying things like, "Well, people from Nigeria have had a difficult time in their country," and "After all, they only outlawed rape there in 2006 so these people don't know any better." Give me a break. They now live in America and need to live by the standards of this country. They've been given a chance to live here, they are getting welfare payments and many other government services, and I strongly feel they must be held accountable for their actions regardless of their hardships, backgrounds or other sad stories. Call me hard--but tough. If they let those boys go--then we deserve what this country is becoming.
